Man stabbed in torso in Shepherd's Bush

A man has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in a stabbing in west London, the Metropolitan Police (Met) has said.

The man was stabbed in Rylett Road in Shepherd's Bush at about 14:00 BST on Wednesday.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was stabbed in the torso and was taken to hospital by air ambulance, police said.

It is believed the victim was a street cleaner who was attacked as he tried to prevent a burglary.

The suspect is believed to have run from the scene towards Goldhawk Road, police said.
