A man convicted of helping a killer conceal her lover's body in a wheelie bin has been jailed for four years at the Old Bailey.

Bernard Beddoe, 60, of Catford, south London, helped Karen Otmani, 42, put Shaun Corey's body in the bin, which then lay in her bedroom in Forest Hill.

Otmani was jailed for a minimum of 17 years after being convicted of the murder which took place in June 2011.

Beddoe, whom Otmani called uncle, was found guilty of assisting an offender.

After doping Mr Corey's beer, Otmani tied him to her bed before smothering the 42-year-old with a plastic bag at her home.

Police found the body 11 days later.
