Petras Miernykas named as warehouse stab victim

A man whose body was found in a warehouse in east London has been named by the police.

Petras Miernykas, 49 and from Lithuania, was found with a suspected stab wound at the warehouse in New Road, Rainham, on Saturday evening.

The Metropolitan Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as hypothalamic shock.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with Mr Miernykas's murder.
