'Serious' injuries for woman in Ealing hit and run

A woman suffered "serious" leg and pelvic injuries when she was hit by a reversing car in west London.

The 44-year-old was injured on Saturday night in Clocktower Mews, Ealing. Her condition was described as "serious but stable" by the Metropolitan Police.

A Mercedes car, believed to be the one involved, was found in a nearby garage shortly after the incident.

A man, 35, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop.

He has been bailed until July.
