Eltham stabbing: Man charged after funeral row

A man has been charged with murdering his younger brother after what is believed to have been a row after a funeral in south-east London.

Sean Hayes, 48, was killed at an address in Eltham Green Road, Eltham, in the early hours of Saturday, the Metropolitan Police said.

Mark Hayes, 52, also of Eltham Green Road, has been charged with his murder.

He is due before Bromley Magistrates' Court on Monday. Two other men also arrested have been released on bail.

A 48-year-old was held over alleged violent disorder while another man, aged 23, was suspected of assault after "a separate incident" at the same location.

Police officers and an ambulance were called to the address at 01:40 BST. Mr Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of Mr Hayes's death as a stab wound to the chest.
