Derek Boateng death: Boy, 15, denies murder

A teenager accused of fatally stabbing a boy as he travelled on a bus in north London has denied his murder.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named, is accused of murdering Derek Boateng as he travelled on a route 393 bus at Highbury New Park in April.

Derek had been returning to Hackney when he was stabbed. He died the next day in hospital on his 16th birthday.

At the Old Bailey, the boy, from Romford, Essex, was told he would be tried in October.
