An e-fit of a suspect has been issued after a 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while sunbathing in a south London park.

The woman had fallen asleep listening to music in Bushy Park in Richmond-upon-Thames on 11 July when she was attacked, police said.

The suspect, described as being in his late 20s, was wearing a white T-shirt and dark tracksuit bottoms.

Police presence in the area has been increased following the attack.

The victim woke up when she was assaulted, causing the suspect to run away towards the Sandy Lane Gate, police said.

Appealing for information, Det Insp Andy Dunn said: "Something which may seem unimportant on its own may be crucial to the investigation so please do come forward no matter how insignificant you think the information might be."
