Police appeal over Brixton teen stabbing

Police in south London are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in the chest last week.

The 18-year-old was attacked on 4 August at about 19:30 BST on Gresham Road at the junction with Coldharbour Lane, Brixton.

The group of males responsible left the scene on foot towards the junction of Brixton Station Road, police said.

The victim received serious injuries and remains in hospital receiving treatment.

Det Ch Insp Jim Redmond, of Lambeth CID, said: "We are keen to trace anyone who may have seen or heard something.

"There were a large number of people in the area at the time."
