Auditions for the new Star Wars film are taking place in the capital.

They are being held this weekend at Twickenham Stadium in London.

Producer Lucasfilm is seeking two actors for roles in the forthcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, due for release in December 2015.

The parts are for a "street-smart" girl in her late-teens and a "smart, capable" man in his late-teens or early-20s, according to the casting call.

The roles have been named "Rachel" and "Tom" in a possible effort to disguise the real names of the Star Wars characters.

Auditions have already taken place in Bristol and others are due to be held in Glasgow, Dublin and Manchester.

Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled to begin shooting at Pinewood Studios in spring 2014.
