Man charged over Piccadilly Circus Barclays bank robbery

A 34-year-old man has been charged with robbery after Barclays Bank's central London flagship branch was targeted.

Teslim Adedibu, of Huntingdon Road, Edmonton, will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with one count of robbery.

Cash was taken from the bank in Regent Street, at Piccadilly Circus, on Monday morning.

Police said no-one was injured during the robbery.

Update: Teslim Adedibu subsequently pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
