Cyclist dies after collision with lorry in Richmond

A cyclist has died from his injuries after a collision with a rubbish lorry in south-west London.

Police and paramedics were called to the incident on the A316 Kew Foot Road at the junction with St John's Grove, in Richmond, on Monday.

The 40-year-old male cyclist was taken to an east London hospital with serious head injuries. He died on Tuesday.

Police said his next of kin were aware, but the man had not been formally identified.

Officers have named a cyclist who died in a collision with a car on Kingston Road in Merton on Saturday.

Laurent Patrick Cullinan, 25, from New Malden was taken to hospital after the crash at 00:45 BST, where he died nine hours later.

A 32-year-old man, who was driving the car, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and had been bailed until September.
