Man charged after police officer hit by car in Hammersmith

A man has been charged with a number of offences including dangerous driving after a female police officer was hit by a car in west London.

The plain-clothes officer was taken to hospital with leg injuries after being hit by a red Ford Focus in Hammersmith on Thursday afternoon.

Michael Femi Adenibi, 22, from Hackney, is also accused of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to the officer.

He was due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court.

Mr Adenibi is also charged with failing to stop for police, having no driving licence and no insurance.

The police officer has since been discharged from hospital.
