Greenwich petrol station arson suspect charged

A man has been charged following a fire at a petrol station in south-east London.

A member of the public put out the fire using a fire extinguisher at the BP petrol station in Trafalgar Road, Greenwich, at about 06:30 BST on 30 September.

Daniel Mulligan, 23, of Davenant Road, Islington, was charged with one count of arson with intent to endanger life.

He was due to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
