A murder investigation has started after a man and woman were found dead at a property in west London.

The bodies were discovered by police visiting next of kin at Landor House in Westbourne Park Road, Paddington, on Saturday to inform them of the death of a 30-year-old man the previous day.

The man was found unresponsive on a first-floor roof on the same road. His death is being treated as unexplained.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Formal identification has not taken place and post-mortem examinations will take place in due course.

A forensics tent has been erected outside Landor House. Police have cordoned off the area and officers are standing guard.

Scotland Yard said the 30-year-old man had been arrested last Tuesday on suspicion of affray and was due to answer bail on Wednesday.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A referral will be made to the Independent Police Complaints Commission on Monday."

A woman who lives next door to the address where the man and woman were found dead said she was "shocked".
