Man charged with Soho robbery of 92-year-old for £5

A man charged with robbery after a 92-year-old was injured when £5 was stolen from him, has been remanded in custody.

Stanley Evans, now 93, was waiting for a lift in Ingestre Court, Soho, central London, last month when the attack happened. He was left with a shoulder injury.

Solomon Bygraves, 29, of no fixed address, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

He is due before Southwark Crown Court on 4 March.
