Man charged over six-month-old boy's murder

A 26-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a six-month-old boy.

The Met said emergency services were called to a house in Trulock Road in Tottenham, north London, on the afternoon of Friday 23 January to reports of a non-responsive baby.

He was taken to North Middlesex Hospital before being transferred to Great Ormond Street where he died on the morning of the following Monday.

A post-mortem examination found he died from a head injury.

The man who has been charged will appear before Hendon magistrates on Saturday.

A 30-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been released without charge.

Neither can be named for legal reasons.
