Man pleads guilty over Lancaster Gate Tube worker stabbing

A man has pleaded guilty to stabbing a London Underground worker in the face at a west London Tube station ticket hall.

Ansar Mahmood, 40, of no fixed abode, was charged with GBH with intent and threatening a bladed article.

He pleaded guilty to both counts at Blackfriars Crown Court on Wednesday.

The male customer service assistant, who was reported to be in his 30s, was attacked at Lancaster Gate Tube station's ticket hall January.

Mahmood will be sentenced on 25 March.
