Two held over Dagenham park attack which left woman critical

Two people have been arrested after a City worker was left fighting for her life when she was stabbed in an east London park.

Qingqing Rao, 29, was attacked yards from her home after leaving a bus in Krithia Road, Dagenham, on 13 February.

She remains in a critical condition in hospital having suffered stab wounds and serious head injuries.

A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery.

Det Ch Insp Gary Holmes previously described the attack as a "really brutal and horrific stabbing of a young lady coming home from work."

Scotland Yard have appealed for two women who stopped to help the victim, or anyone else with information, to contact them.
