Arrest after house petrol-bombed in Manchester

A man has been arrested after a petrol bomb was thrown at the front door of a house in Manchester.

A 26-year-old mother and her two children, aged two and four, escaped from the fire in Dunkery Road, Woodhouse Park, in the early hours.

They had managed to get out of the house by the time police and the fire service arrived.

A 32-year-old man has been held on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
