Two men injured in Manchester shootings
Two men have been shot in the leg in Manchester.
The men, aged 20 and 27, were shot on a bridge on Hucklow Avenue in Newall Green, Wythenshawe, at about 0200 BST on Saturday.
The 20-year-old was shot in the knee and the older man in the shin. Both were treated in hospital and released.
Greater Manchester Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them. Detectives believe an argument took place before the men were attacked.
Det Ch Insp Pete Marsh, who is leading the investigation, said: "These types of incidents are rare and it is not an everyday occurrence for guns to be fired in this area.
"There may have been people who saw an argument, or people gathered on or near to the bridge, and we would like to hear from them.
"Anyone who may have seen or heard anything can come to the police in confidence."
