Man struck by taxi in Leigh car park seriously hurt

A 58-year-old man is seriously ill after he was hit by a taxi in a car park in Greater Manchester.
Police were called to the car park near King Street in Leigh just before 0400 BST.
Officers found that the man had been struck by a private hire Vauxhall Zafira car.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken leg, a broken arm, a broken ribcage and a punctured lung. Police are appealing for witnesses.
