Armed raiders target post office in Bury


Armed robbers smashed their way into a post office in Greater Manchester and threatened members of staff before fleeing with cash.

Two raiders wielding sledge-hammers burst into the shop in Walmersley Road, Bury, at 1810 BST on Thursday.

They threatened members of staff before searching the shop. They left in a white Audi A3, driven by a third man.

The Post Office is offering a reward for information which leads to the robbers' conviction.

The robbers are described as white, wearing dark clothes, hooded tops, balaclavas and gloves. They were between 5ft 9ins and 6ft tall.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Manchester Police.
