Man fatally injured in Stalybridge pub fight named

A man who collapsed and died after a fight at a Greater Manchester pub has been named.

Robert Horrocks, 70, of Stalybridge, was involved in the fight at The Sportsman on Mottram Road, Stalybridge, at 2150 BST on Saturday night.

Greater Manchester Police said he was taken to hospital but later died.

A 49-year-old man originally arrested on suspicion of assault and later on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
