Bolton teenagers 'serious' head injuries after car hit

Two teenage pedestrians are being treated for 'serious' head injuries after a car collided with their group and hit a lamppost in Bolton.

The boy and girl, both aged 15 years old, were among four pedestrians injured after a Volkswagen Golf crashed at 0245 BST at Bromley Cross.

A 33-year-old woman who was in the car was also taken to hospital.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and is being held in custody.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
