Detectives investigating the murder of a man shot dead outside a GP surgery in Oldham are questioning five men.

Mohammed Junaid Khan, known as Junaid, was shot numerous times as he lay on the ground in Block Lane, Chadderton, in the early hours of 9 July 2009.

The 21-year-old had been visiting friends and was shot with an automatic weapon when he returned to his car.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on Monday night. Four men and a woman were taken into custody earlier.

The men, aged 22 to 28, remain in custody for questioning on suspicion of murder. The woman has been released on police bail.

Mr Khan, of Cotton Mill Crescent in Oldham, was described by his family as "a much-loved son" who was their "strength and support".
