Man held over assault in Manchester street

A man has been arrested in connection with an attack in Manchester which left a teenager with serious head injuries.

The attack by three or four men on the 18-year-old man happened at the junction of Grandale Street and Wilmslow Road on 2 October.

Greater Manchester Police said a 20-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The injured man is in a stable condition, police said.
