Woman crushed by own car in Failsworth 'critical'

A woman is in a critical condition after being crushed by her own car in Greater Manchester.

Police found the 33-year-old woman had become trapped in the door of her Vauxhall Zafira in Failsworth.

The force said it was called to reports of a collision at a house on Alan Avenue just before 0800 BST.

The woman was taken to North Manchester General Hospital where she was being treated for serious injuries. She is said to be in a critical condition.

Any witnesses have been asked to contact police.
