Teenager questioned over rape in Manchester

A 19-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of raping a woman in south Manchester.

Police were called to an address on Cavendish Street in Hulme at about 0700 BST on Thursday following reports that a 19-year-old had been raped.

Following enquiries a man was arrested on suspicion of rape.

He was taken to a local police station where he is to be questioned over the attack, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said.
