More patrols after house shooting in Withington


Extra officers are patrolling the streets of south Manchester after shots were fired into a house in Withington.

A 23-year-old man suffered shotgun pellet wounds to his arm after a shot was fired through a window in Rainford Avenue on Thursday night.

He is in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Det Ch Insp Peter Giles said: "I understand the community will be frightened by this we will be keeping residents updated on any developments."

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
