Man charged over fatal shooting in Wythenshawe

A man has been charged with killing a 30-year-old who was shot dead at a set of traffic lights in south Manchester.

Kevin Bond died after getting out of his car at the junction of Rowlands Way and Simonsway in Wythenshawe, on 19 September.

Robert Knott, 30, of Hemp Croft, Timperley, is charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court on Monday.
