Teenager struck by car in Manchester critically ill


A teenager is critically ill in hospital after being hit by a car in Manchester city centre.

The 18-year-old was struck by an Audi A4 on Upper Brook Street at about 2320 GMT on Friday.

Emergency services were called and he was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary suffering from serious injuries.

The driver of the car was not injured. Anyone who witnessed the incident has been urged to contact Greater Manchester Police.
