Snow and ice is continuing to cause delays for travellers on public transport in Greater Manchester.

The Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) said some bus routes were disrupted and were due to be affected all week.

A spokeswoman said minor and estate roads were worst affected and advised people to catch buses on main roads.

Rail services are also disrupted, with delays to First Pennine Express, Northern Rail and Merseyrail services.

Details of changes to bus timetables can be found on the GMPTE website or those of the operators.

Rail travellers are advised to check the National Rail Enquiries website.

Drivers have also been urged to take care on the roads as snow and ice remains in many areas.
