Greater Manchester firefighters tackling thaw calls
- Published
Greater Manchester Fire Service has been dealing with dozens of calls overnight because of flooding due to the milder weather conditions.
A service spokesman said calls had been taken from across the region about burst pipes.
Firefighters have also attended dozens of fire alarm call outs triggered by sprinkler systems going off because the thaw has affected the electrics.
Temperatures reached above zero in the area for the first time in a week.
