Man tied up by pub cash raiders in Stalybridge

A man living in a pub was attacked and tied up by two raiders who stole cash from the bar in Stalybridge.

The masked men, armed with two crow bars and a knife, climbed over the fence at the back of The Bulls Head Pub in Knowl Street at about 0300 GMT.

They entered the pub and punched one of two men in the pub in the face before tying him up.

The raiders then escaped with a waste bin full of £2 coins in cash bags, said Greater Manchester Police.

"Fortunately no-one was injured as a result of this burglary, but these men terrified the victims and need to be caught," said Det Con Lisa Ogden, from Tameside CID.
