Man held over Salford biker's death crash in Kearsley

A 52-year-old Salford man was killed when his motorbike and a minibus collided in Kearsley.

The man died in hospital following the incident at 0755 GMT at the junction of Blair Street and Manchester Road.

A 47-year-old man was arrested by Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was taken into police custody.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area as Stoneclough Road, Blair Street and Slackey Brow were closed.
