Two pedestrians have died after being struck by a car in Greater Manchester.
The men, aged 63 and 64, were hit by a red Ford Escort in Warrington Road, Wigan, at about 1820 GMT on Sunday.
Both were taken to hospital with serious injuries but later died, a spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said.
The driver of the Escort suffered minor injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The road was closed for several hours for investigation work.
