Wilmslow house fire 'started deliberately'

A house fire which left a woman and her two teenage sons trapped in a bedroom of their Cheshire home may have been started deliberately, police said.

Fire crews were called to the terraced house on Snapebrook Grove in Wilmslow at about 0340 GMT on Wednesday.

The three were taken to hospital to be treated for the effects of breathing in smoke and minor cuts and bruises.

Cheshire Police said the fire was being treated as suspicious and urged anyone with information to get in touch.
