Man charged after boy, 13, stabbed in Sale


A 25-year-old man has been charged with the stabbing of a 13-year-old boy in an alleged row over a dog.

Michael Stevenson, who was detained in hospital, is now recovering at home after a single stab wound to his back.

His pet dog died of knife wounds in the incident on 12 February in Cherry Lane, Sale, Greater Manchester.

The man was charged with assault, possessing an offensive weapon, criminal damage and affray. He is due before magistrates on Saturday.
