Man charged over sex attack by Manchester Town Hall

A man has been charged after a woman reported she was raped in an alleyway between Manchester Town Hall and Central Library.

The 20-year-old victim walked into a police station in Manchester in the early hours of 31 October 2010, reporting an attack.

Dominic Hill, 26, of Burnage Lane, Manchester, is charged with false imprisonment and sexual assault.

He is due to appear before Manchester magistrates on Thursday.

Police said he is also charged with intent to commit a sexual offence.

A reconstruction of the incident appeared on BBC Crimewatch on Monday.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
