Blackley shooting: Pair charged with attempted murder

Two men have been charged with the attempted murder of a man who was shot in north Manchester.

Police found the victim with a gunshot wound to his thigh after being called to reports of a disturbance at Carmel Court in Blackley on Wednesday morning.

The man, who has not been named, was taken to hospital where he is continuing his recovery.

Two men, both aged 23, were due before Manchester City Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

One of the men, from Moss Side, is also charged with possession of a firearm.
