Salford man charged with stabbing murder of son

A man has been charged with the murder of his son, who was stabbed to death at a house in Salford.

Daniel Skeffington was found injured inside a house on Agnes Street, Higher Broughton, in the early hours of Thursday. He died in hospital.

A post-mortem examination revealed the 29-year-old died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Michael Skeffington, 63, is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Police said no further action would be taken against a 33-year-old man who was also arrested.
