Man charged after gun and ammunition found in Irlam

A man has been charged after a gun and more than 140 rounds of ammunition were found in Greater Manchester.

The discovery was made at a house in the Stickens Lock Lane area of Irlam, Salford and another undisclosed location in the city.

The 33-year-old is charged with possessing ammunition and possession of a firearm when prohibited, and with producing a class B drug (cannabis).

He is due to appear before Trafford magistrates on Saturday.
