Woman found dead in Leigh was asphyxiated

A woman who was found dead at a house in Greater Manchester died from asphyxiation, police have said.

The 28 year old was found at the address on Maple Crescent in Leigh on Tuesday morning, shortly after police were alerted at about 0705 BST.

Two men, aged 30 and 26 and both from Leigh, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police have been given more time to question the 30 year old but the second man was released without charge.
