A new sporting event is to be staged in Manchester city centre.
The Great Manchester Cycle is a multi-distance race aimed at cyclists of all abilities and levels, and will be held on 4 June.
The closed road circuit will start and finish at Eastlands and go through the Mancunian Way and Salford Quays.
Olympic cycling champion Rebecca Romero was among the stars who attended the launch. It is being run by Nova, which organises the Great Manchester Run.
There will be three different courses; a 13 miles (20.92km) course for beginners, 26 miles (41.84 km) circuit for intermediates and 52 miles (83.68 km) for more experienced cyclists.
