Woman killed in Stalybridge by reversing lorry

A woman has died after being struck by a lorry reversing down a side street in Greater Manchester.

Officers were called to Grosvenor Street, near to the Lord Nelson Pub in Stalybridge, at about 12:50 BST following reports of a collision.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

There have been no arrests made and police say they are treating it as a tragic accident at this stage.
