Wigan wheelie bin body: Man guilty of murder

A man has been found guilty of murdering a 26-year-old whose body was found in a wheelie bin in Greater Manchester.

The body of Steven Rourke, was found by two men walking on land off Bickershaw Lane, Wigan, on 25 March. Post-mortem tests revealed he had been strangled.

James Anthony Jepson, 25, of Bickershaw Lane, Wigan, had pleaded not guilty to murder at Liverpool Crown Court.

He was remanded in custody to await sentencing on Tuesday.
