Stockport police seize £1.4m in drugs, cash and cars

Police have seized more than £1m in cash, drugs and cars in raids on suspected drug dealers in Stockport.

The raids were carried out earlier on 13 homes in Cheadle, Heaton Norris, Heaton Moor and Bredbury.

Large amounts of Class A drugs including cocaine worth £500,000 and cash and cars thought to be worth £900,000 were seized.

Seven men and 3 women were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Insp Steve Dix said: "Bringing to justice those who blight our communities by peddling drugs is an absolute priority for officers across Stockport.

"Today's seizure will significantly dent the activities and ambitions of those involved in such activity."
