Murder probe after Levenshulme street row death

Six people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 40-year-old man in Greater Manchester.

Police were called to Barlow Road in Levenshulme at 18:45 BST on Thursday and found the injured man, whose name has not yet been revealed.

He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary but later died.

Police said three men and three women have been arrested. A post-mortem examination is due to take place later.

Supt Neil Bhole said: "A man has lost his life in tragic circumstances and we are working hard to bring the offenders to justice.

"We have already arrested six people on suspicion of murder and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."

Supt Bhole urged anyone with information to contact Greater Manchester Police.
