Farnworth hit and run: Man bailed over injured girl
A man arrested after a girl was badly hurt in a hit-and-run crash has been released on police bail.
The woman was hit by a white van in the early hours of Saturday as she walked on Anchor Lane in Farnworth.
The 26-year-old man was held on suspicion of causing injuries by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the man was bailed until 26 August pending further enquiries
The 18-year-old victim is in a potentially life-threatening condition with a bleed to the brain, they added.
