Rochdale house fire: Police begin criminal damage probe
A fire which caused part a house in Greater Manchester to collapse is being treated as criminal damage.
The fire at the end-of-terrace property in War Office Road, Rochdale, is thought to have been triggered by an explosion.
Two men, aged 38 and 60, suffered minor injuries while a woman of 74 was also rescued from the house.
The property which contained several flats, will have to be demolished following the fire on Tuesday.
Ch Insp Andrew Aston, from Rochdale division, said the explosion had left "three people without a home".
"My officers and I are taking this extremely seriously, if you have any information about the incident, I would urge you to contact us as soon as possible."
